Are you looking for a Photo studio in Miami to do intimate photography and you don’t know how to evaluate the right photo studio? We want to share some important fips for seeking a Miami photo studio in Miami for intimate photography
1. Look for a established photo studio that specializes in Glamour Photography, Boudoir Photography or Artistic Nudes. Established glamour photographers that portrait nudes everyday always have their own photo studio. Do a Google search of “your city artistic nude photo studio” and/or “your city intimate photography studio”.
2. Check the photo studio’s portfolios for styles of images. Do you like their style? Is it what you are looking for? Do they seem to know how to use light and tone? Do the photographer understand posing?
3. Call the photo studio and ask to see more samples in person. Meet with the photographer.
4. Ask to see their studio space before the session if possible and try to get advice about which one is the light that work as the best for your skin
5. Intimate photography is about yourself and how do you want to be capture by the camera. Sometimes is better to be alone with a minimal crew to help you during the photo session, but if it would make you more comfortable, plan to bring along a friend to the session.
6. Check if the Photo Studio is displaying a Code of Ethics and ask if they will uphold them including signing all rights to the images to you. If you are commissioning the photographs so have a right to own them. If you are being paid by the photographer for images he/she can use, then you would not own the rights, but since you are paying, you can secure them.
7. If you’ll be allowing the photographer to use your images in their portfolio, you must have a Model Release signed before the session begins. Check that the release is limited to photo studio portfolios only.
8. Ask for references. Check for real testimonials from recent photo studio clients
9. Expect to pay for a professional’s work. If the photographer is offering two-hour session for $50, they may unfortunately just be interested in seeing naked people. Professionals charge professional rates.
10. Ask about if a backup CD of your pictures is included in the price. If the studio don’t offers to give you the high res files with tone correction to allow you print them anyway you like, maybe is because they want to screw you with up-sale of the prints. If you’re paying for your session you have the right to have a backup of the files. A pro studio maintains the source files to sale you prints professionally toned and printed with top quality, but you must have the right to do it too. If not, In the event that the studio is going out of business, say bye bye to your precious memories.
